I am a former division 1 basketball player who hated working out. Going to the gym and running on a track was not for me. I was overweight and unhappy and realized I needed a change. I started taking classes at the Body by Simone Studio and lost 20 lbs within a month and a half. And then Covid hit.
When Covid hit I knew if I let it bring me down, I would become depressed and gain the weight back and then some. So I created a routine and downloaded the BBS App. Between taking classes everyday and walking/ jogging outside with my dog, I lost 70 lbs total during 2020. I transitioned from the app to taking zoom classes and eventually in person classes! I have maintained my weight loss this year and have focused on toning. I mix in zoom and in person classes and have continued my wellness journey well into 2021! Changing my mentality and understanding that it is a slow process helped me maintain a positive experience.
